UPDATE:
SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - The weather warnings and watches have been lifted in southeast Saskatchewan.
A tornado watch was issued for the Estevan, Weyburn and Carlyle areas, among others, by Environment Canada at 11:19 a.m. Sunday morning. It has been lifted in the Estevan area, and later removed for the Carlyle area.
A tornado warning was issued for a chunk of the southeast at 3:11 p.m. Sunday, and covered the RMs of Wawken, Silverwood and Kingsley, and the communities within those RMs. But it has since been gradually lifted, and is no longer in effect.
Tornado watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce tornadoes.The heat warnings for the Estevan, Weyburn and Carlyle areas have also been lifted.
The heat warnings that were issued for the southeast on Friday are also now over.
