The Assiniboia & District Museum is hosting a fundraiser on Tuesday, November 5 from 4:30-7:30 at Andy鈥檚 Restaurant on 305 First Avenue West with a Chinese smorgasbord. The door entry fee is $15 for adults and $8 for children aged 12 and under as per seating. Tickets for the event will be available at the door, or interested parties can call 306-642-5353. There will also be a 50/50 draw at Tuesday鈥檚 fundraiser in November.
Assiniboia鈥檚 museum will be closed from November 15-March 15, although a call for a viewing can be arranged. During the summers, Assiniboia鈥檚 historical centre is open June, July and August for seven days a week from 10-5 p.m. with hours altering in the off season.
The Assiniboia & District Museum is part of 小蓝视频 Central Museums of Saskatchewan, serving tourists, students and people who want to know more about this region鈥檚 history. The town鈥檚 museum truly has something for everyone, with historic car displays, vintage agricultural equipment, antique toys, period clothing from the early 20th century, antiquated cameras, bygone sports equipment and historical archives 鈥 this list is by no means completed.
The wheelchair accessible museum in Assiniboia is located on 506 First Avenue West. Without the museum, Assiniboian鈥檚 would lack a connection to the region鈥檚 wealth of history. The museum has also been involved with many spectacular community events over the years, such as the 小蓝视频ern Cruisers Fall Show 鈥楴 Shine held on September 21, 2019 on the museum鈥檚 grounds. Motorists arrived from all over the province to attend the Assiniboia & District Museum, where they viewed a wide array of vintage family vehicles, trucks and sports cars.听听 听听
