The Assiniboia & District Public Library held a silent auction from November 2 to December 8, with the bids closing on Saturday at 4 pm. 鈥淲e have auctioned off donated items as a fundraiser to help the library鈥檚 support programs,鈥 Lois Seeley, assistant librarian said. Anyone could place bids on the auctioned items displayed at the library. Beside each item, there were sheets and pencils for participants to write down their offers and contact information. An appealing selection of entries were resting along the top shelves on the library鈥檚 left side near the entrance, including handmade blankets, afghans, jewelery, knitted pieces, books and a painting from local artist Lillian Ford. Aside from 小蓝视频 a brilliant artist, Ford also serves on the Assiniboia & District Arts Council Executive as the recording secretary. All proceeds of the silent auction will be used to procure resource materials for the library, fund programs or for general maintenance.
鈥淲e are fortunate to have patrons at the library who are so generous in donating,鈥 Seeley said. Of further note, the librarian had also contributed some of her own handmade jewelery for the auction.聽聽聽
