Several charged for taking bathroom breaks in public

A 23-year-old Toronto man was arrested and charged with three counts of wilful damage, one charge of uttering threats to cause death and one charge of assault with a weapon after a complaint was registered with Estevan Police Service personnel on the night of Aug. 14. The man was remanded in custody for a Monday court appearance in Estevan. Police attended to the leisure centre in the city after receiving a report of two young people smoking marijuana. The youths were located and the investigation into a possession charge is ongoing. A Viking, Alberta man was arrested and lodged in cells after he was found in an intoxicated condition outside a local lounge. He was held in cells until sober and no charges were laid. A 24-year-old Regina man was arrested and locked up after police received a complaint from a local hotel. The man was apparently doing damage to the interior of the building. The subject is now facing possible mischief charges. A 27-year-old Oxbow man was arrested and lodged in cells after EPS members received a complaint of someone causing a disturbance in a local lounge. He was charged for urinating in public. He was later released when he regained sobriety. Police issued a 30-day driver's licence suspension to a 16-year-old Estevan male after he was found to be driving after consuming alcohol. Police issued issued several more tickets to people who were observed urinating in public at various locations in the city during the weekend. Police also issued 33 other tickets for alcohol and driving related offences during the weekend evening shifts. On August 15, a 24-year-old Alberta man was arrested for intoxication following a disturbance at a local hotel which required EPS attendance.
