A semi truck hauling round bales of hay was demolished when a train struck the front of the cab at the Queen Street crossing on Highway 39 the morning of Jan. 25. The driver was shaken up but walked away without any injuries. The impact of the collision threw the hood of the truck some 20 or 30 feet away, with pieces of the engine strewn all over the ditch. The cause of the accident was unknown.
