You don't want to miss this! Santa Claus is coming to town!
The annual RCMP Breakfast with Santa will be taking place on Dec. 3 and Santa's presence has been confirmed! Santa will not only be in attendance for a hearty breakfast, but he will be on hand to listen to the wish lists of young ones just in time for Christmas.
Breakfast with Santa is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. and will see local detachment members flipping pancakes and serving sausages to all in attendance right up until 10 a.m.
The breakfasts, which raise much needed resources for the Carlyle and District Food Bank, are given out to the public for the cost of a non-perishable food donation. Last year, the fundraiser resulted in two overflowing grocery carts and raised a total of $109 in cash with more than 150 people enjoying a hot and hearty breakfast. This year, it is hoped to be even more.
So make sure you mark it on your calendars so that on Dec. 3, you can bring down a non-perishable item or two, enjoy a hearty breakfast, have a visit with Santa and make a difference in the lives of a local family.
