Earlier, Saskatchewan RCMP advised motorists that Highway 1 between Swift Current and Gull Lake was closed because of poor road conditions, with a number of vehicles in the ditches paralleling the roadway on Tuesday, Nov. 17.聽
The RCMP adivised the public that Highway 1 was reopened at 6 a.m. on Nov. 18.聽
Yesterday, Swift Current RCMP were on scene and redirecting traffic away from the area.
Travel on the highway wasn鈥檛 recommended, as police accounts told of reduced visibility, ice formation and blowing snow over the roadway.聽
The RCMP advised motorists who were planning to travel in Saskatchewan to check their local weather reports and the for up-to-date road conditions.
