WHITE BUTTE — Seven people have been charged as a result of White Butte and Lumsden RCMP detachments and Regina General Investigation Section working in partnership with Regina Police Service to investigate a number of recent break-ins at rural residences in communities surrounding Regina.

RCMP say there has been a continuing proactive investigation into late 2022/early 2023 break-ins reported in the Edenwold and White Butte areas, and information and reports have also been provided by the public. RCMP note, however, that not all of these incidents and accused are connected.

The accused are all from Regina except for one accused from Little Black Bear First Nation

Two of the individuals White Butte RCMP have charged are at large and police are looking to locate and arrest them: Arthur Pass, 29, and Kevin Weber, 38, both from Regina.

Pass is described as approximately five foot 10 and 140 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. Weber is described as five foot nine and 145 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

“These charges mark a significant step in the ongoing investigation into recent thefts in the area, but they certainly aren’t the last. We continue to work with our partners to locate those wanted on warrant, to continue investigation into area property thefts reported in the past few months and to reunite recovered items with their rightful owners,” says S/Sgt. Corey Niedzielski from White Butte RCMP. “We take property crime seriously and will continue to untangle this recent string of thefts. We’re grateful to our partners within the RCMP and at Regina Police Service for their continued dedication to this.”
