REGINA — Regina police are still continuing to investigate a theft that occurred in the Grasslands shopping centre parking lot on Saturday, after arresting one subject in connection that evening.
On Sept. 4 at about 12:45 p.m., officers responded to a call at a business parking lot on the 4900 block of Gordon Road involving a theft of several items from a truck.
The items stolen included a firearm, ammunition, three compound hunting bows, clothing and other assorted hunting equipment.
Further investigation led officers to identifying several potential suspects, as well as a vehicle suspected to be involved.
One individual was arrested in the evening later that day, in the 1800 block of Alexandria Street, while the vehicle was found empty in the 1900 block of Connaught Street.
Andrew Pelletier, 29, of Regina has been arrested and charged with three counts of theft over $5,000 and two counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to order.
During his arrest, Pelletier was reportedly bitten by a police dog and therefore taken to hospital by EMS before 小蓝视频 transported to detainment at the Regina Police Service.
Many of the items reported stolen were recovered, said police, but the investigation is still ongoing.
Pelletier made his first appearance in provincial court on Tuesday morning.
