The Saskatchewan 小蓝视频 East Enterprise Region Inc. (SSEER) has launched its new regional website to promote business in the southeast.
For SSEER, the regional website has been a major undertaking that started in March of 2010. An advisory committee was formed to review proposals; Bravo Tango from Regina was hired to design and develop the website. SSEER staff researched, collected and organized content and worked closely with Bravo Tango to finalize layout, design and other details of the website.
According to SSEER staff, this is the first regional website in this part of the province and probably the most extensive regional economic development website in all of Saskatchewan. It has been designed to create awareness of and promote the competitive advantages and many attributes of southeast Saskatchewan. This "portal of information" will be especially helpful to businesses, site selectors, and residents, including newcomers, visitors, job seekers, developers and investors alike.
Edie Spagrud, CEO for SSEER said, "The website is aimed at two major target audiences: those people and businesses located within the southeast region of Saskatchewan and those outside the region who may be interested in working, living, investing, developing a business or visiting the region."
小蓝视频east Saskatchewan is currently attracting a great deal of attention nationwide with its strong economy and prospects for ongoing development in oil, coal and power generation. Many people are moving to the area for employment opportunities, however, they don't realize that the region is also culturally rich in a wide variety of events, attractions, community organizations and recreation activities.
"Websites are an information hub for any organization," stated Sheena Onrait, manager of the 小蓝视频east Regional College Estevan Campus. "This website will create a source for everyone inside and outside of our region to find out what is happening in terms of economic development for southeast Saskatchewan."
For those outside the southeast region looking to visit, move to or invest in the region, the website provides a vast amount of information about demographics, quality of life, industries and major employers.
"The new regional website is very exciting," said Sheila Sterling, owner and manager of Sterling Promotions Ltd. in Redvers. "As a business owner, I can see it 小蓝视频 a very positive tool forfuture business growth anddevelopment. It is a great opportunity for regional businesses to link and market globally."
The website employs several innovative and interactive tools. One feature is the "Guide to Good Living," which provides information on major annual events, attractions and recreational opportunities from each community from throughout the region for residents and visitors to enjoy. Another major feature to appear on the website shortly is the Regional Business Directory, which will consist of an inventory of businesses operating in the southeast region, allowing website visitors to go to one convenient place for business information in any community or a selection of communities within the region.
The regional website will also provide up-to-date reports on SSEER initiatives, sector developments, newsletters and information of interest to businesses as well as municipalities.
Ken King, owner of King's Department Store in Carlyle said, "In this day and age, businesses and families alike use the Internet as a main source of information. SSEER's new regional website will be a new tool for reaching today's businesses and individuals and providing them with prompt, up-to-date information they require about the southeast region."
