The Weyburn Fire Department has hired a new deputy fire chief.Michael Cole will leave his position at Redcoat Chrysler to begin his full time job with the fire department on March 1.Chief Steve Debienne said that the department is looking forward to having a local person in the position, "At least we know he'll stick around for a while."
The department lost Deputy Chief Evan Littlejohn in October when he decided to move back to his hometown in Texas.Cole has been a volunteer firefighter with the department for two and half years.
