The Estevan Police Service's (EPS) ongoing battle against local drug dealing activity continued on Oct. 8 when EPS members stopped a vehicle on Kensington Avenue during the early part of the evening and arrested a 25-year-old man for 小蓝视频 in possession of a controlled substance. The man is also facing charges of obstructing a peace officer because he failed to properly identify himself to police.
A third charge was also levied against the subject since he was driving without a valid driver's licence.
A second subject, also 25-years-old, is also facing charges of 小蓝视频 in possession of a controlled substance, stemming from the same incident.
On that same evening, a 31-year-old man faced two charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and for breaching the conditions of an undertaking.
The man was found to be in possession of prescription drugs which he was not authorized to have.
He was given a November court date.
Earlier in the week, on Oct. 6, EPS members arrested two Estevan men for 小蓝视频 in breach of their release conditions. They were lodged in cells and taken to provincial court the following day.
A domestic dispute in the central part of the city required police attention on the night of Oct. 6. The matter remains under investigation.
On the night of Oct. 8, a 28-year-old man was arrested and lodged in cells after police were called to a disturbance at a local residence. The subject in question was a resident in a neighbouring apartment and had become upset and started yelling at his neighbour's friend at a party. The man left the scene but then returned to the party to create a further disturbance, so at that time he was taken into custody and was released when sober.
On the night of Oct. 8, police also attended to a fight in the central part of the city. When police arrived at the scene, they located several young people and learned that two people had been boxing, using boxing gloves.
Police noted that although the event was meant to be fun and might have been defined as a sporting event, the participants had to be warned about the City's fighting bylaw so the fight was ended and the participants sent on their separate way.
Police were then called to another fight, only this time it was at a local restaurant. One of the subjects had left prior to police arrival but was located later. These men were also spoken to about their behaviour and sent on their way with no further action taken by police.
A party in the early morning hours of Oct. 9 was attended to by police who warned the host about the noise bylaw.
Police were called to a local church on Oct. 10, regarding a theft complaint.
The victim had been attending a church event and upon leaving had gone to her car only to find it up on a jack with a tire and wheel gone.
The matter remains under investigation.
On the night of Oct. 10, a 17-year-old young offender was arrested and lodged in cells following an incident outside a local lounge.
The youth, who is known to police, was in possession of alcohol. When police approached the young man, who was extremely intoxicated, they discovered that he would not co-operate with them which led them to making an arrest with one of the charges 小蓝视频 that he was intoxicated in public and another for 小蓝视频 a minor in possession of alcohol. The youth also resisted police in the process of 小蓝视频 taken into custody, which led to another charge under the Criminal Code.
Police noted that the young man also had outstanding warrants out for his arrest for other Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Act violations and is facing further charges under the Summary Offences Procedure Act for failing to attend court on assigned dates.
The youth was released to his parents after gaining sobriety and now has a Nov. 25 court date.
A fight at a local convenience store attracted police attention on the night of Oct. 10. Two 18-year-old men were arrested for 小蓝视频 intoxicated in public and lodged in cells overnight.
Police also responded to another disturbance at a local restaurant that same night. One of the parties involved in the fracas had left prior to police arrival. Police members spoke with the other subject who had been involved and she was sent on her way with no further action required by police.
Another disturbance in a restaurant parking lot ended up requiring police attention. One person involved had left prior to their arrival, but a group of teenagers were spoken to about the event and then sent on their way and no further action was required.
A report of a large dog hanging around the front doors of a local hotel, which was making hotel guests nervous, led to a call to police who located the dog's owner who was a guest at the hotel and he took care of the dog and the matter was concluded.
