Kristin Waroma, nee Bahsler, experiences elephant feeding at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Foundation in Kenya, during a visit in September of 2010. Kristin, a Weyburn health inspector with the Sun Country Health Region, had recently returned from Africa from her third visit, during which time she visited the Foundation site again and married her husband Fred Waroma. An elephant from the Sheldrick Wildlife Foundation was recently adopted by a Grade 1 class at Queen Elizabeth School. During her time in Kenya in December and January, Kristin was able to visit that elephant, named Sities, and delivered a soccer ball from Queen Elizabeth to their adopted elephant. A feature story on Kristin will follow in another publication.
