An RCMP officer with 15 years of service has been charged with impaired driving.
Assiniboia RCMP said they were called to the Wood Mountain Provincial Park after a disturbance complaint shortly after midnight on July 22.
The suspect had left the park, but officers pulled him over. At this point, they discovered he was an off-duty member of the Assiniboia detachment.
Sergeant Donald Duplissea was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and impairment with a blood alcohol concentration measuring over .08. He was placed on administrative duty. Duplissea will return to court August 9 in Assiniboia.
