Local lounge fights send combatants to hospital and cells

On Nov. 11, members of the EPS were asked to respond to a complaint of a fight in progress at a local lounge. Information that was relayed to police indicated that one of the combatants had threatened the other with a knife.

Upon arrival at the scene, police arrested a 25-year-old Estevan man and charged him with 小蓝视频 in possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.

On the same day police responded to a call from a local survey crew that had uncovered a Second World War vintage mortar shell while working on the south side of the city. Details about this discovery are included in a related article on the front page of this week's edition.

On Nov. 12, EPS members were called to a local lounge in response to a report of a male patron refusing to leave after 小蓝视频 asked to do so.

The 23-year-old subject was arrested and lodged in cells until sober and faces charges of failing to comply with conditions of a court undertaking. He now has a Dec. 20 court date.

A report of a man stealing food from a local business was investigated by police. After receiving a description of the suspect, police arrested a 24-year-old man and charged him with theft. He has a Dec. 20 court date.

Police also responded to a report of a suspicious man lurking in the vicinity of a lobby at a local lounge. The man had departed prior to police arrival.

A call from the west end of the city on Nov. 13, brought the police out in response to a motor vehicle accident.

As a result of their attendance, police arrested a 31-year-old man in connection to the incident since he had refused to provide a breathalyzer sample.

A call from a local lounge later that same night resulted in police escorting a 31-year-old man from the premises with the warning not to re-enter. But a short time later they received a call informing them that the man had, indeed, returned so this time police not only removed him, but also charged him and he has subsequently been banned from the establishment.

On that same evening, police encountered two women who were fighting in the parking lot of a local lounge. They were subsequently arrested and ticketed for causing the disturbance.

A report of several intoxicated people creating a disturbance at a local lounge led to police action and the arrest of five men who were lodged in cells until sober.

On Nov. 14, EPS members responded to a report of a noisy party. The host was warned about the local noise bylaw and no further action was required.

A report of damages 小蓝视频 inflicted on a fence and mailbox on the south side of the city on Nov. 14 is leading to a police investigation.

On the night of Nov. 15, police were asked to respond to a report of a fight in progress outside a downtown business. One subject was transported to hospital for treatment of a possible fractured leg. Police are seeking the other people who had been involved in the altercation prior to their arrival, so the matter remains under investigation.

Another altercation on the north end of the city that same night led to the arrest of a 21-year-old man who was held in custody after 小蓝视频 picked up as he wandered around the residential area near the Estevan Shoppers Mall.

After the man was treated at the hospital, he was lodged in cells until sober and police are continuing their investigation into the incident where he sustained his injuries.

A 25-year-old man was warned about the noise bylaw that same night after police attended to a party that was going on in the city's north side. No further action was required.
