Garnet and Elaine Roysum left Regina via plane on Feb. 4 for Las Vegas. They won the trip at a Christmas party they attended in Estevan in December 2010. While there they met with Elwood and Betty Skjerdal and they toured the sights and shopped. They returned home on Feb. 7 reporting a very enjoyable time. They did report that the nights were cool once the sun went down.
Jared and Janelle Hagen of Regina spent the weekend of Feb. 4-6 with his parents, Wayne and Dolores Hagen.
Tom and Linda Clausen were Estevan goers last week where they visited with Ken and Marilyn Clausen in their new condo which they recently moved into. Their son, Matthew is the new occupant of their house.
Jami Storle and Jessica Woitas were the organizers of the "First Annual Ladies Night" held at the Lake Alma Community Hall on Jan. 29. There was karaoke, a 50/50 draw, raffles, refreshments and appetizers. The raffles were donations from local home-based businesses and the appetizers were donated by local ladies that were in attendance. A fun time was had by the 70 ladies in attendance and the profit of $600 was donated to the Recreation Board. All those in attendance are looking forward to next year already.
Valerie Storle traveled to Nipawin on Feb. 7, where she is spending time with her daughter, Bridget Cain.
Curtis Offet, Jensen, Cael and Tahlaya of Moosomin spent from the evening of Feb. 3-5 with Clare and Ida Offet in Weyburn. They returned to Moosomin on Saturday morning so that Jensen could attend her dancing lesson. Curtis also visited with Bruce Kravanya while in Weyburn.
It was learned on Feb. 10 that Joyce Lamb (nee StandingReady) passed away at the Regina General Hospital on Feb. 8 at the age of 65. She is survived by her husband Brian of 43 years, her children, Alice Nichole Lamb of Edmonton, James Jason Lamb of White Bear, and Justin Mark (Michelle) Lamb of White Bear and grandchild, Nichole Marie Rose Lamb of White Bear. A wake was held at the White Bear Community Hall, White Bear Reserve at Carlyle, on Feb. 11 with a memorial service at the same place on Feb. 12. The Lambs lived at Beaubier at one time where Brian was employed with the oil industry.
Clare and Ida Offet took Beverly and Sam Locken to Regina on Feb. 11 where Sam had a medical appointment.
In the news two weeks ago the Offets attended the surprise 80th birthday party in Regina for their brother-in-law, Donald Jacobson. His name was omitted in the news item.
