A summer full of slipping and sliding has come to an end. The Kenosee Superslides held their last open day on Aug. 28 where a hot day ensured the waterslides were packed full of children and their parents.

The waterslides, which have been open since June, have seen a number of special events and weekends throughout the summer. Their last weekend was no different including a weekend full of water sliding, games and other competitions.

Walking into the superslides meant walking into a game of 'musical tubes', where children were the first to participate followed by those 17 years and over.

Yellow tubes filled the lazy canal and the waterslides, along with a hot tub full of those wishing to relax after a few hours of water sliding. Music filled the air and smiles were plastered on the faces of the children.

The scene was a common one throughout the season bringing joy to many families and individuals alike. Next year is sure to be the same with the waterslides opening for the 2012 season on June 13.

While Sunday marked the end of the season for the Kenosee Superslides, the memories made by many will last the year through.
