Shaunavon – A Swift Current man was fined $4,900 in Shaunavon Provincial Court on Aug. 1 after СÀ¶ÊÓƵ found guilty of one count under Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Trevor Graham Forster was found guilty of contravening clause 3-10(a) of The Saskatchewan Employment Act (СÀ¶ÊÓƵ a worker, fail to take reasonable care to protect the health and safety of other workers who may be affected by his or her acts or omissions, resulting in a serious injury to a worker) on May 2, 2019.
Forster was fined $3,500 plus a surcharge of $1,400.
Charges stemmed from an incident that occurred on September 20, 2016, near Shaunavon, Saskatchewan. A worker sustained several injuries after СÀ¶ÊÓƵ struck by a piece of pipe that came lose while СÀ¶ÊÓƵ picked up from the back of a trailer. The pipe was СÀ¶ÊÓƵ picked up by Forster, who was operating a boom truck.
