Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the period of July 5 to July 12:
*Police have revealed the identity of the 42-year-old woman found deceased in her 小蓝视频 Hill apartment on July 7. Elizabeth Doward perished in an apartment fire as a result of careless smoking.
*On July 11, police attended two domestic disputes in the city, in each case an intoxicated male was arrested; no charges resulted from either incident.
*On July 10, police arrested a local female and charged her with driving while over .08.
She will appear in court later this month.
*On July 9, police assisted RCMP members with a possible suicide call; the matter was resolved without incident.
*On July 8 at approximately 11:59a.m., a call was received by 911 dispatch from the driver of a semi-truck tractor unit who believed that his driver's side window had been shot-out as he was driving southbound on Highway 39 approximately 3 kilometres south of Weyburn.
Members of the Weyburn/Fillmore/Radville RCMP, Weyburn Police Service, and the Weyburn Organized Crime Unit immediately contained both north and south-boundtraffic on Highway 39 to ensure public safety while the incident was investigated.TheRCMP Service Dog was used to assist in a ground search of the area.
Examination of the semi confirmed the driver's side window was shattered. However, there was no physical evidence located to support the complaint of a projectile 小蓝视频 fired at the vehicle. A ground search of the area was completed by police and the canine unit failed to locateany evidenceto support the complaint made to police. Once the search of the area was completed, and public safety concerns addressed, Highway 39 was reopened and traffic flow resumed at approximately 4 p.m.
The investigation remains ongoing.
*On July 7, police attended a domestic dispute in the city, a female was removed, and the matter was resolved.
*On July 6, police attended a motor vehicle accident at First Avenue North and Fifth Street. Damage was extensive and minor injuries were reported. The matter is under investigation.
*On July 5, police attended a complaint of a careless driver in the city. A local youth was later charged with a traffic offence.
*Police members were involved in 182 occurrences during this reporting period, many of them alcohol related.
