MOOSE JAW — Update: Most roads in Saskatchewan are now designated as having "winter conditions". There are no closures showing on the Highway Hotline, and earlier visibility issues are easing up.

Earlier: The Transcanada Highway from through Moose Jaw from Mortlach to Belle Plaine is no longer designated closed, according to the Saskatchewan highways department Highway Hotline.

Parts of Highways 39, 6 and 334 had also been closed. They are now open but travel is not recommended.

Roads south of Moose Jaw, Swift Current and Regina, including highways through Weyburn and Assiniboia, are not recommended for travel due to visibility near zero. Poor visibility is affecting most roads across east central Saskatchewan.

Most of the areas with poor visibility are under snowfall warnings or blowing snow advisories by Environment Canada.

Please check the before heading out.
