The Town of Radville is still growing, according to Major Shirley Cancade. There are many new faces popping up in Radville and, as such, there aren't a lot of homes waiting to be sold. Cancade added that although there isn't much real estate available, there is not a lot of homes 小蓝视频 built either.

"At one time I used to be able to walk down the streets and know everyone I see, but now it's not like that at all," Cancade said, demonstrating the growth that Radville's seen over the past few years.

The highlight for Radville in 2010 was the 100th birthday of the town. It was a weekend event which included fun activities such as a mini-carnival, dance, community barbecue and live auction that was very well attended. Cancade said that there were over 1,900 people registered for the event and that's not including those who walked through the doors not having pre-registered.

"Another highlight would be that we're working with the R.M. of Laurier to develop commercial property for businesses in Radville," Cancade said. Another large project for the town is that they are "working with the R.M. of Laurier and are annexing part of the RM from them. The Hamlets of Laurier and Riverside will become part of Radville as of January 1, 2011."

The town of Radville is going to be looking at a very busy year in 2011. Cancade said that there are many infrastructure projects that the town will be looking into beginning next year.

"We're still in the process of getting our water filtration plant approved. It's online, but it's not going yet," Cancade added that they'd like to see the plant running in 2011 to "the standards of the Saskatchewan government."

The new health centre for Radville and area residents will begin construction in the spring of 2011, but there is no projected completion date for this project yet.

"We're also looking at the possibility of doing a new swimming pool for the town. We're in the process of raising funds for it now," Cancade said. "It's probably going to be done in stages. It won't be completed in 2011, but we're hoping to start the project off this year." The costs for the new pool for Radville aren't concrete yet, but Cancade said that the town is thinking it will cost "well over $500,000."

Radville had suffered from a number of major sewer line breaks in 2010 that had to be replaced. Cancade said that the town will have to redo some of the streets before moving on to the next stage.

"Hopefully there won't be main sewer or water breaks this year, but we always have to anticipate some of them," Cancade commented. "When you have to redo a sewer line, you have to redo the whole street. We have a couple of them that we have to do this year."
