Congratulations to the Senior Girls' Volleyball Team who competed last weekend in the 1A Girls Provincial Volleyball Championships in Yellowgrass, Saskatchewan.

Congratulations to the Senior Girls' Volleyball Team who competed last weekend in the 1A Girls Provincial Volleyball Championships in Yellowgrass, Saskatchewan. They qualified in dramatic fashion by placing at Conference Playoffs and Regional Playoffs. Down 21-8 in the final set of the final game, the girls pulled off a remarkable and stunning comeback winning 26-24. At Provincials, Carlyle played well in all three of their games and had some close sets, but did not end up placing. Competing at Provincials was a great accomplishment for this young team. Look for them to be back at Provincials again next year. Congratulations to Nicole Brown, Renae Fafard, Kate Lees, CJ Wilson, Katie Mathewson, Santana Pylatuik, Tavia Williams, Tenille Rutten, Anna Caan, Savannah Standingready, Kady Reaves, Sarah Sawchuk, and the only senior player, Jackie VanDresar. Jackie's contributions to the volleyball team will certainly be missed next season.

Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to help out at the last Middle Years' Spirit Afternoon. The students had a great time working together and showing their team and school spirit.

GFK's School Clothing is now available. Clothing images and order forms (with prices) are now available at the school for those wanting to order. Prices for clothing range from $10.00 to $110.00 and there is a wide range of choices for everyone. Check the school's blog for more information (Beat the Bells @ G.F. Kells).

Along with the school, the Student Council is fundraising in order to purchase two virtual information signs. We are looking for sponsorship with the potential for advertising on these high tech signs. Anyone interested should contact Mr. Howe at the school.
