SaskPower is asking residents to bring old halogen floor lamps and seasonal light strings to participating retail locations to save money on more energy efficient products.
For two weekends only, November 6 to 7 and 13 to 14, bring old seasonal light strings to any participating Canadian Tire, Co-op or The Home Depot store and receive a coupon (limit three per customer) for $3 off a new sting of energy efficient LEDs.
During those same weekends, bring old halogen floor lamps to any Saskatchewan Canadian Tire location and receive a $25 coupon (limit of two coupons per customer) toward the purchase of an Energy Star compact fluorescent floor lamp.
Last year, SaskPower collected over 27,000 light strings and 3,500 halogen lamps.
