It was fight night in Estevan on Friday, Sept. 10 when Estevan Police Service (EPS) members were called upon to intervene in a couple of scraps, one that even ended up including a police officer before one of the combatants could be hauled away.

It was fight night in Estevan on Friday, Sept. 10 when Estevan Police Service (EPS) members were called upon to intervene in a couple of scraps, one that even ended up including a police officer before one of the combatants could be hauled away.


EPS members report that a few hours after arresting two men for a fight at a local lounge, they were called out to another bar in response to a complaint of one man attacking and assaulting another man.


When police arrived on the scene, they noted the victim was on the ground and the suspect was going after him a second time. As police attempted to intervene, the suspect engaged the EPS members, so another fight ensued which eventually led to the suspect 小蓝视频 taken into custody. He now faces several charges including assault causing bodily harm, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.


The subject was released on strict conditions after he regained sobriety and now has a court date set for Oct. 4.


The two men who had been arrested earlier in the evening were released after spending the night in cells.


That same night, police arrested a 38-year-old man for 小蓝视频 intoxicated in public after they received a call from a local resident regarding an unknown person appearing on their front step. He was lodged in cells until sober.


A response to a noisy stereo complaint resulted in a charge 小蓝视频 laid under the Alcohol Gaming Regulations Act for a minor 小蓝视频 in possession of alcohol after police approached a parked vehicle near a local apartment building. The three people in the noise-laden vehicle were found to be in possession of alcohol which resulted in the charge 小蓝视频 laid.


There was another report of a young offender 小蓝视频 out past his court ordered curfew hour. The youth now faces charges for breaching this order.


Earlier in the week, police attended to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 14th Avenue and Fifth Street. This incident occurred on Sept. 8.


The driver of an eastbound vehicle left a stop sign and struck a northbound vehicle. Airbags in the northbound vehicle were deployed as a result of the impact.


The driver of the eastbound vehicle has been charged for leaving a stop sign before it was safe to do so.


No injuries were reported as a result of this collision.


On Sept. 12 a 48-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication when police noticed him urinating in the parking lot of a local service station at Souris Avenue and Fourth Street. The man was lodged in cells until sober and was charged under the City's bylaw for urinating in public, an offence that carries a $500 fine.


On that same night, EPS members were called to a local lounge following a report of another fight that was taking place outside the establishment. A 45-year-old man was injured and transported to hospital where he was admitted for observation. It was noted that the victim was quite intoxicated at the time, so the matter remains under investigation as police continue to sort out the details.
