Two actors, one narrator and four children drawn from the audience staged a humorous and captivating version of Robin Hood on May 23rd at Assiniboia Elementary School. The troupe, originating from Ontario and sponsored by the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils, drew applause from their audience with a comedic performance, blending improvisations, sudden dress changes, clever slapstick and audience participation.

Sara from DuffleBag played several roles in the well-known story, including Little John. Daniel performed as the infamous Sheriff of Nottingham, while four children from Assiniboia Elementary acted as Robin Hood, Maid Marion, Prince John and King Richard. Marcus Lundgren, the narrator and Artistic Director, kept the momentum going with his entertaining asides.

When the troupe held a question and answer period after their 45-minute performance, one child stood up and congratulated the actors, saying 鈥淵ou guys are awesome.鈥
