Development plans for the Western Star Inn and Suites have been set in place. The 65-suite structure is slated to open at the end of October, 2011. Carlyle will be the first location to have this hotel brand, with future developments possibly occurring within the area and a head office planned for Estevan.
The development will aid in addressing the challenges Carlyle faces in available accommodations. Western Star Inn and Suites will be two-thirds geared towards longer-term rentals for those working in the oilfield, with full-size kitchenettes available in the rooms. In addition, a free continental hot breakfast, wireless internet, and ample truck parking will be available for patrons.
While the development focuses strictly on rooms at this point in time, development of a restaurant in the future is in the long-term plans of the company.
