The Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation Inc. has announced that a major sponsor has joined the "Ulterra Presents The Graham DeLaet Charity Golf Tournament In Support of the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation."
"We are very proud to welcome Weyburn Security as a major sponsor of our golf tournament," announced Golf Tournament Chairperson Michael Hoffman. "Weyburn Security has been a pillar of our community for decades and this level of support clearly establishes Weyburn Security as another of our great corporate citizens."
Weyburn Security will be contributing $20,000 towards sponsorship of the tournament.
"Weyburn Security has been supporting our community since it began, and we're extremely proud to be able to give this support towards our new hospital," said Weyburn Security spokesperson Jim Onstad.
Hoffman also announced the date of the upcoming charity golf tournament, which will take place on Wednesday, July 27 at the Weyburn Golf Club.
Hoffman said that DeLaet is looking forward to the tournament, helping out the foundation, and returning to his hometown of Weyburn.
"Right now, he's just concentrating on healing," said Hoffman.
DeLaet received minor back surgery to repair a herniated disc in early January. The procedure pushed back his start to the 2011 PGA Tour season by an eight-week recovery period.
Hoffman said that in the upcoming months, the foundation will begin selecting teams for the tournament.
"Sponsors will get the first crack at teams," said Hoffman.
Hoffman said that sponsorship spots are already two-thirds full.
