Report from the Weyburn Fire Department for the week of February 15 to 22:
*On February 22, fire crews attended a structure fire at the Royal Bank on Third Street. The call came in at 10:16 p.m. and crews had the fire under control by 10:51 p.m. No one was injured but extensive fire damage to the janitor's room was reported. Heavy smoke throughout the building may lead to extensive smoke damage.
*Fire crews attended a furnace fire in a residence on Ninth Street. Fire was contained to the furnace area and no one was injured. The residence sustained minor smoke damage.
*Fire crews attended a structure fire on Fourth Street. The fire was contained to a small portion of a bedroom where damage was moderate. No one was injured and the fire is under investigation.
*Fire crews also attended four medical assistance calls and two false alarm calls during the week.
