Coronach ranks number two on Expedia travel鈥檚 newly-released list of the 鈥淢ost Breathtaking Places in North America.鈥� Expedia wanted to create a definitive list of places with spectacular, sweeping landscapes that would elicit a 鈥渨ow!鈥� from travelers. The list is part of a blog written by Jennifer Cuellar, who seems to be enthralled with Canada. The list comes out just before the summer tourism season and contains 34 locations with two sites from Saskatchewan making the list 鈥� Coronach and La Ronge. Coronach was added for its sense of the Wild West and as the gateway to Big Muddy Badlands.
鈥淭his area still speaks of days when outlaws and cowboys needed a place to hide out from the world,鈥� reads the blog post about Coronach. La Ronge was recommended for its view of the Northern Lights.
Despite competing against some of the most picturesque locations on earth like the Caribbean islands, Canada dominated the list taking 23 of the 34 top scenic spots.
Canadian locations representing all parts of the country include Coronach and La Ronge in Saskatchewan; seven locations 鈥� Haida Gwaii, Penticton, Revelstoke, Kamloops, Lillooet, Tofino, Osoyoos 鈥� in British Columbia; Banff/Lake Louise and Red Deer in Alberta; Hamilton, Niagara Falls, Oshawa, Saul Ste. Marie, Georgian Bay and Peterborough in Ontario; Old Montreal in Quebec; Whitehorse, Yukon, Churchill, Manitoba; and three spots on the east coast: Alma, New Brunswick; Antigonish, Nova Scotia; and Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland.
