Carlyle United Church will be hosting a 'Blue Christmas' service at the church again this year.
The service, which is held to support those who find themselves grieving for whatever reason, is delivered as a non-denomination service.
"The Blue Christmas service is for those people who aren't necessarily feeling the joy of Christmas," Rev. John Bullas said. "Often people have lost a loved one, lost a job, or some other thing happened along the path to Christmas."
"The service is meant to remember and commemorate whatever it is, and to renew the individual's hope with the coming of the Christ Child." Rev. Bullas said. "To offer some solace for people who are wounded in spirit."
The Blue Christmas service will take place on the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m.
The service is open and welcoming to all.
