School Community Council has been busy fundraising this past year for Smart boards. After our major fundraiser in October, we were able to install 5 Smart boards, projectors and the wiring that is required to run the Smart boards, and currently have 4 more on order. We would like to acknowledge the following organizations or people for contributing to our fundraising efforts: The Lion's Club, Homespun and Ron and Lois Paul, each donating enough money to purchase a Smart board. Darlene Hoffman, who donating her time and the plaques to acknowledge the generous donations of the Smart boards. Karlee Colpitts, MacKenna Morrison and Miss. Stephenson for selling water and flowers at The Dance Zones dance recital, we made over $500.00. Pharmasave, for selling the school cookbooks. And to everyone who has bought a cookbook or purchased products from our Mom's Pantry fundraiser.

Soon, every classroom will have a Smart board and projector.

Last Monday, students had a day off and all teachers attended an assessment fair in Estevan.

This week students from Carlyle Elementary School attended the Whitebear school's Pow Wow. It was a fabulous experience for the kids who attended and they were able to see their classmates dance and provide them with support.

May long is this weekend so enjoy the extra day off with their family.
