The developer of Weyburn's upcoming Boston Pizza is considering development of another Riverfront Market area.

Gary Tremblay has taken an option to purchase the land formerly occupied by the Co-op Feed Mill. He is considering a 15,000 to 20,000 square-foot development that would house retail and office space. Individual bays would be 1,500 square-feet.

"It could be for government offices, retail space, something that draws a little traffic to the town," said Tremblay.

Tremblay said the development would not house industrial business and would be built to further enhance the riverfront.

"I'm hoping to tie in the architecture with the museum so it doesn't look out of place," said Tremblay.

Tremblay said, depending on interest from prospective occupants, he hopes to begin the development in spring.

As for the Boston Pizza, Tremblay said he hopes to start construction of the new restaurant next week. The restaurant will be located along the riverfront, west of Weimer's Hometown Furniture.
