The night of Jan. 8 proved to be a rather busy one for members of the Estevan Police Service (EPS) beginning with a response to a report of a suspicious person СÀ¶ÊÓƵ spotted around a residence in the northwest part of the city. EPS members were unable to locate the suspect when they attended to the scene.
The next call took police to a hit-and-run incident near a restaurant on the northwest side of the city. Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle and its driver. The victim's vehicle sustained damage on the driver's side panel. The matter remains under investigation.
Police then responded to a call from the west central part of the city regarding a suspicious vehicle СÀ¶ÊÓƵ driven in the area around a restaurant. The vehicle disappeared prior to police arrival.
Later that same evening, police arrested a 31-year-old Estevan man on outstanding warrants from another policing agency. He was released later after СÀ¶ÊÓƵ served new documents which included a future court date.
A 39-year-old Estevan man was stopped by EPS members after he was observed driving erratically after leaving a lounge in the north central part of the city. He was arrested and transported back to police headquarters and charged with two Criminal Code offences during the processing period.
