Shop Estevan is going to host its first event on Saturday.
The Great Pumpkin Carve will happen in honour of Halloween. Families can drop by a participating business, and pick up a pumpkin, a pumpkin scoop and a treat bag Saturday from 2-3 p.m.
The businesses are the Tower Caf茅, Days Inn Estevan, Your Toy Store and More, Fired Up Grill and Henders Drugs.
Participants are asked to take a photo of their carved pumpkin and tag @shopestevan.
All carved pumpkins will be posted and voted on by Shop Estevan followers for a chance to win $100 in Shop Estevan bucks.
Photos need to be submitted by 9 p.m. on Nov. 1. The winner will be announced the following morning.
Shop Estevan was announced in September and launched in mid-October. It is an effort of local retailers and hospitality sector businesses to promote shopping in Estevan to both local residents and people who reside outside of the city.聽
