The accomplishments and importance of businesses in the community were saluted Friday night at the Estevan Business Excellence Awards.
The MNP Business of the Year Award went to Murray GM Estevan. General manager Brad Pierson thanked staff members and customers for making the award possible.听
Murray GM also won the Inland Audio Visual Community Involvement Award earlier in the evening.听听
The other big award for the night was the Murray GM Business Leader of the Year Award, which went to Josh LeBlanc. LeBlanc thanked his family, his business partner Meigan Wilhelm at Coldwell Banker Choice Real Estate, and the administration team at the Estevan Comprehensive School, where he teaches entrepreneurship and leadership events.
听
LeBlanc also applauded the local business community for their commitment to the city and for their support of events in Estevan.听
Numerous other awards were handed out Friday night. The winners were:
- Dutch Media Growth and Expansion Award: Chamney Crushing and Paving;
- Access Communications Outstanding Service Award: A Loving Touch Florist;
- Community Futures Sunrise New Business Venture Award: Save the Stress Cleaning Service.听
- Bear Claw Casino and Hotel Outstanding Employee Award: Kim Pastachak from Encompass Fitness Studio;听
- SaskTel Diversity in the Workplace Award: JTK Food Services Estevan McDonalds;:
- WorkSafe Saskatchewan Safety in the Workplace Award: TS&M Supply;
- Affinity Credit Union Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award: Nolan Tide of Tide Enterprises;听
