Estevan and area residents showed their support for a fundraiser for the Humboldt Broncos that was hosted by the Estevan DQ Grill and Chill/Orange Julius on Wednesday.
According to a Facebook post, the benefit raised $23,353 for the Broncos organization. All proceeds from the sales during the day will be donated to the Broncos organization. The staff also donated their salaries for the day.
Support for the fundraiser was strong throughout the day. Customers were often lined up outside the building, and the drive-thru lineup was so long that vehicles were lined up on 13th Avenue and Souris Avenue North as well.
Billet moms for the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins volunteered during the lunch hour rush.
Next week鈥檚 edition of the Mercury will have more on this story.
