KIPLING - Hometown Co-op in Kipling held their Fuel Good Day barbecue on Sept. 21 at the corner lot on Main Street beside the library.

They were lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny afternoon for the event, attracting over 80 lunch guests.

Barbecue proceeds, as well as 10 cents from every litre of fuel sold at the Broadview and Grenfell convenience stores, was donated to the local KidSport committees.

The money will be donated to the Kipling KidSport committee.

All funds raised by KidSport Kipling stay in the community to get local kids off the sidelines and into a season of sport, helping build strong kids and strong communities.

A total of $3,140 was granted to kids in Kipling last year, benefitting 96 kids.

By supporting KidSport, everyone wins. When kids have access to sport they improve in school, become stronger leaders, create safer communities, ignite inclusivity and fuel healthy habits for life.

“We believe that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sport,” states the Kidsport mission.
