The Estevan Farmers’ Market Association held its first market of the year Saturday at the Estevan Shoppers’ Mall’s parking lot.

Numerous vendors were on hand, selling merchandise to the public. Customers turned out to see what was available.

It was an overcast day at the start, but the clouds cleared and the market was held under mostly sunny skies.

Farmers markets were included in Phase 2 of the provincial government’s Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan, which came into effect on Tuesday. The Estevan market had precautions put in place to ensure that it followed provincial regulations, and it also did its part for people to follow social distancing rules.
