The finalists have been announced for the fifth biennial Estevan Business Excellence Awards, which will be handed out on Oct. 25.
For the Outstanding Service Award, the finalists are A Loving Touch Florist, the Great Canadian Oil Change, Murray GM Estevan, Prairie Animal Health Centre of Estevan and Save the Stress Cleaning Services Ltd.
The Community Involvement Award candidates are Fresh Air Fitness/Run the Course/Coal Country Run, Josh LeBlanc of Coldwell Banker Choice Real Estate, Mr. Mikes Steakhouse Casual Estevan, Murray GM Estevan and Save the Stress Cleaning Services Ltd.
Three businesses are vying for the Safety in the Workplace Award: Carson Safety Services Ltd., Sawyer Safety Training and Consulting, and TS&M Supply.
The companies up for the Growth and Expansion Award are Chamney Crushing and Paving, Murray GM Estevan and Save the Stress Cleaning Services Ltd.
Nominees for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award are Cristina Bohn with Save the Stress Cleaning Services Ltd., Danielle and Kyle McGillicky and Tyson McGillicky and Tatum Unger from Thunder Oilfield Construction Ltd., Nolan Tide with Tide Industries, and Dr. Sarah Sliva of 小蓝视频 East Eye Care Ltd.
The finalists for the Employee of the Year Award are Colleen MacMillan of the Estevan Family Resource Centre Inc., Kim Pastachak with Encompass Fitness Studio and Melanie Mantei with the 小蓝视频east College.
Four companies are nominated for the Diversity in the Workplace Award: Days Inn Estevan/Beefeater, JTK Food Services Inc., which operates McDonald鈥檚, Kelly Panteluk Construction Ltd. and Trent鈥檚 Tire.
The new Business Venture finalists are Lemon Wedge Marketing Group, Save the Stress Cleaning Services Ltd. and Thunder Oilfield Construction Ltd.
Two other awards will be handed out that night: the Business Leader of the Year Award and the Business of the Year Award. All businesses nominated for an award are eligible for Business of the Year.
Also to be announced that night will be the Nick and Verna Morsky Business Hall of Fame inductee.
All award nominations are reviewed by an independent panel of judges comprised of representatives from MNP residing outside of the Estevan area to ensure impartiality.
