The 小蓝视频ern Plains Co-op had a head start on Halloween with its second annual Trail of Terror at the Preddy Trail in Woodlawn Regional Park on Saturday night.
An estimated crowd of 700 people was present for the event, which saw a variety of Halloween-related props and items set up along the trail to spook those in attendance. 聽
People who attended also enjoyed hot dogs, games and other activities.
鈥淚t went very well,鈥� said Carol McKay, the human resources manager for the co-op. 鈥淪ome of the things that we discovered in our first event (last year) we fixed. The people really enjoyed it. Lots and lots of kids were in costumes. Adults were in costumes.鈥�
The props on the trail were spooky, she said. McKay said she isn鈥檛 a big fan of getting scared, but she had a couple of guides when she ventured on the trail.
鈥淭he props with the lights shining up on them, they鈥檙e really spooky because it鈥檚 pitch black out there. And the creepers, when they move, it startles you. So there is a scare factor. It鈥檚 just really, really cool.鈥�
The creepers were people, dressed in costume, who stand still and look like props, but they pop out from the bushes and trees to startle people.
Pumpkins lit up the trail as well, adding to the appearance.
