The 小蓝视频ern Plains Co-op鈥檚 new liquor stores in Estevan and Oxbow are opening on July 12.
Carol McKay, the co-op鈥檚 manager of human resources, said the co-op is very, very excited to have the two new stores open.
The Estevan grocery store has gone through renovations, taking an area that was for the grocery store and offices, and transforming it into the liquor store.
Beer and coolers are in a refrigerated area with a walk-in cooler. The store has lots of variety, and even co-op labelled products such as wine on the shelves.
A growler bar will feature a selection of Saskatchewan beers for growler fills.
鈥淭he employees that are currently on staff will know how to do the growlers,鈥 McKay said.
As for the Oxbow location, it is part of the expanded convenience store at the east edge of the town. It has more variety than what was in the Oxbow area.
All beer and coolers are also going to be refrigerated, and McKay said there is a great selection of product.
鈥淭he public should be very pleased with the look and the style and lots of varieties,鈥 said McKay.
Both stores will have a strong selection of Saskatchewan products.
Customers have been eagerly awaiting the opening of both stores, as they have been asking when the stores would be open. McKay noted that there will be member patronage dividends on alcohol products purchased at the stores.
A lot of work had to be completed before the co-op received the necessary approval from Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming for the stores to open.
Next week鈥檚 edition of the Mercury will have more on this story.
