Changes to the Saskatchewan Health Authority protocols announced Wednesday have resulted in changes for the Estevan Leisure Centre's users.
All fitness class participants must continue to pre-book their spot and wear a mask throughout the class.
The weight room and Affinity Place walking track will have a slight change. Users will still have drop-in options, but they must check-in at the information desk. Mask usage and three-metre distancing is required at all times. The walking track may be closed at high usage times of the facility; calling ahead to confirm availability is encouraged.
"Parents with children nearly complete this set of swimming lessons; our instructors have been able to assess your children's skills and report cards are ready,鈥 said program manager Erin Wilson. 鈥淭hey will be available at the information desk starting Monday, November 30, along with a free family swim pass as an early goodbye gift from their instructor."
All aquatic programs in the RM of Estevan Aquatic Centre will move to a pre-registered process. Users can register online or by calling the information desk. Capacity in each program has been reduced to meet the protocols set out by Sask. Health.
"We are fortunate that we can continue to offer programming at the Estevan Leisure Centre in a safe manner for the members of the community,鈥 said Wilson.
Users with questions about organized sports held in the facility that are not listed above can contact the respective organizations for detailed information.
The Estevan Police Service will continue to monitor City of Estevan-operated facilities.
