ESTEVAN - The Canada Post office in Estevan is set to reopen Thursday, after it was shut down on Wednesday morning.
In an email to the Mercury, Phil Legault with Canada Post media relations said it was notified that an employee who works at the Estevan postal facility tested positive for COVID-19.
The facility was temporarily closed for sanitization and will reopen Thursday.
Some mail was delivered Wednesday and a contingency plan will be in place to deliver the balance with Thursday’s mail.
“We followed the guidance of public health in informing employees, supporting contact tracing and conducting a sanitization of the facility,” Legault wrote.
