Sara Kesslering, a Grade 12 student from Assiniboia Composite High School, was selected by the RBC branch in Assiniboia as the recipient of the Canada 150 initiative called Make150Count.
To celebrate Canada’s remarkable past and looking to its bright future, RBC has launched a Canada 150 initiative by giving thousands of young Canadians $150. With no strings attached, the youth is asked to use the $150 to make a difference in their communities. It is like a pay-it-forward type of activity.
After graduating this year, she plans to take a year off to work and save money for her further education. The ACHS student has plans to enroll in health information management at SIAST in Regina.
According to the RBC branch, she did an amazing job at donating the $150 for the branch. The RBC is asking youth between the ages of 16-25 to share their photos and videos about what they’ve done. According to the RBC, it wants to assist youth and is looking forward, to the people who will shape Canada’s future. They want to empower young people to act on their passions, hopes and ambitions – for themselves, for their communities and for Canada.
