Affinity Credit Union has announced the closure of their Estevan location due to a positive case of COVID-19.
In a news release sent to the Mercury Sunday evening, Affinity said they have received notice of a COVID-19 positive test result from an individual who was present within the Estevan advice centre (or branch), located at 833 Fourth Street, between Sept. 23 and 25.
鈥淭he Saskatchewan Health Authority considers this a low-risk incident,鈥 Affinity said in a news release.
In addition to the cleaning protocols and the physical distancing practices they鈥檝e put in place in all of their advice centres in response to COVID-19, Affinity says it is also taking the following steps:
To ensure a safe environment, their Estevan advice centre will be closed to the public from Monday to Wednesday. They鈥檙e targeting to reopen on Thursday. Members can continue to access the night deposit and ATM services, as well as their advisors via telephone. Members can still do their day-to-day banking using online banking, the Affinity mobile app, telebanking or by reaching out to their contact centre at 1-866-863-6237. They can also deposit cheques using their mobile device with the Deposit Anywhere鈩 feature and send or receive money through Interac e-transfer.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority has completed its investigation and has notified any close contacts.
They鈥檝e notified employees and members of the Estevan advice centre and instructed them to self-monitor for symptoms. Again, the risk is considered low.
鈥淔irst and foremost, the health, safety and well-小蓝视频 of our employees, members and communities remains our primary focus,鈥 Affinity said in the news release. 鈥淭ake comfort in knowing that your credit union is here to support you. We鈥檒l continue to work with the Saskatchewan Health Authority on any further directives.鈥
