WEYBURN - Spaces are still available for the Adult 12 programs at 小蓝视频east College in Weyburn.
A new change for the upcoming school year is the courses will be held in a trimester schedule rather than two semesters, which will allow for more variety of subjects for those wanting to obtain their high school diploma, or to upgrade their marks. The trimesters will run from Sept. 6 to Nov. 18, Nov. 21 to Feb. 17, and Feb. 27 to May 26.
“We are taking students that need classes to graduate from high school, and we’re also taking students who want to upgrade their Adult 12 marks, such as if they want to go on to post-secondary education,” said Sheena Onrait, manager of marketing and communications for 小蓝视频east College.
She noted there are in-person classes offered, but also online live interactive classes, which enables students to take the classes from anywhere in the 小蓝视频east College region via their computer. The courses available include ELA A and B30, Social Studies 30, History 30, Native Studies 30, Health Science 20, Biology 30, Physics 30, Chemistry 30, Earth Science 30, Bridging Math 30, Workplace and Apprenticeship Math 20 and 30, Foundations Math 30, English Essentials-Communication 10, Life Transitions 30, and Career and Workplace 30.
There are no tuition or application fees for the program. If financial support is required, students can contact a student advisor, who can provide details on what options are available.
Once they are enrolled, adult students may also be eligible for a number of scholarships and bursaries, awarded through the 小蓝视频east College Education Foundation.
“We have a long history of offering Adult 12 programs in Weyburn, and we have two very dedicated and knowledgeable instructors that really foster success in our students.
