Marja Stang, pictured here with her children Bailey and Bentley, was the August winner for the Estevan Mercury鈥檚 summer cash promotion.
The Mercury gave away $1,000 for both July and August. Stang entered at the 小蓝视频ern Plains Co-op鈥檚 Estevan grocery store.
This year鈥檚 summer promotion celebrated the local business community, showcased the different products and services available in Estevan, and gave people chances to win cold, hard cash.
People could enter to win at one of more than two dozen participating businesses, or by visiting www.estevanmercury.ca. The Mercury received thousands and thousands of entries through the promotion.
The Mercury also has a summer coupon book for sale. It is still available at the Mercury office, at Henders鈥� Drugs and at the Estevan A&W restaurant. Net proceeds from the coupon book will be directed to the United Way Estevan.
