Henri Loiselle and Martin Janovsky are no strangers to the Weyburn Arts Community. Each has performed in Weyburn before, but not on the same stage.

On Monday, November 29 Weyburn is in for a double treat when both performers will be at the Weyburn Comprehensive School at 7:30 p.m. for the third concert in this year's Weyburn Concert Series.

With a passion for singing, Loiselle started performing at St. Peter's College in Munster, Saskatchewan under the direction of Alphonse Gerwing. Loiselle was a Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Competition and studied in Chiari, Italy with the International Institute of Vocal Arts. While studying, he also toured and performed throughout Europe. As well, Loiselle farmed near Saskatoon and became affectionately known throughout the prairies as Saskatchewan's own "Singing Farmer."

Janovsky was born in Czechoslovakia. He studied piano and composition at the Conservatory of Prague before touring Europe extensively with his own trio. Janovsky moved to Saskatchewan in the 1980s and was asked to be the house band at the Saskatchewan Pavilion at Expo '86. Janovsky's stage performance consists of music and comedy, although his first love is piano, and when he touches the keys the high-energy performance really comes alive.

Tickets for this concert can be purchased at Superior Office Products or at the door.
