ESTEVAN - Estevan-area residents will be treated to a celebration of Ukrainian culture when the Poltava Ensemble performs at the Estevan Comprehensive School on May 7, starting at 2 p.m.
It’s a special attraction through the Estevan Arts Council's concert series.
Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased in advance at Henders Drugs. They will cost $40 at the door.
The concert was originally slated to happen on March 12, but it had to be rescheduled due to a powerful blizzard that struck the southeast region that weekend.
The concert will feature Ukrainian song and dance. Approximately 50 members are part of Poltava. In addition to the talented dancers who will be on stage, Poltava has an orchestra with talented performers who play the songs from Ukraine.
The Sunflower Network had a dessert table to support their efforts to bring Ukrainian families displaced by war to Saskatchewan.
SASKTODAY.ca will have photos from the concert on Sunday afternoon.
