The Little River Band has been forced to postpone their scheduled appearance in Estevan.
They were slated to perform at the Orpheum Theatre in Estevan on February 14, but according to Wayne Nelson, the band's lead singer and long-time bassist, the wife of one of the band members needs to have surgery, and the most convenient date was around the 14th.
"It was just one of those things that couldn't be changed," said Nelson. "It needs to be done as soon as possible, and that was the first date that he had available."
The concert has been rescheduled until August 25.
"Everyone's tickets will still be valid," said Nelson. "Whoever bought tickets, they'll still be good for then."
Members of the band are looking forward to performing in Estevan, as they've heard great things about the Orpheum. And they're pleased that the concert didn't have to be cancelled.
The Little River Band originated out of Australia, and they have had 13 songs reach top-40 status in the U.S.
In the meantime, Canadian classic rock band Honeymoon Suite has been booked to appear at the Orpheum for the concert on February 14. Honeymoon Suite hails from Niagara Falls, Ontario, and the band has been together for nearly 30 years.
